Wealth Ladder Magazine - Conversations with Wendy Muhammad
1. You are a multimillion dollar business developer, thought leader, crisis manager, trainer and entrepreneur. How did you end up with all of these titles?
I began my career after college with Price Waterhouse (PWC), a major international Public Accounting Firm. My goal was to diversify myself and learn as much about as many industries as possible so that I could one day be a successful business owner. Little did I know, but I ended up performing in a number of key roles as an Auditor and later as a Business Consultant. Developing businesses, thinking outside of the box, navigating through crises and helping entrepreneurs in the community became my sweet spots. The challenge for me is that I looked up and had developed over $200 million in Businesses and Projects for other people. So, I decided to apply my own skills to my own clients and ventures.
2. Can you share some of your biggest lesson you have learned so far as an entrepreneur?
As an entrepreneur I have learned many things. The journey of an entrepreneur is a rich experience filled with numerous lessons. Most importantly, I’ve learned that I have to be the person that deserves or attracts what I am after. So, I had to dedicate just as hard on improving and tweaking my mindset and thought patterns. I vigorously study every industry and/or business I work with. I am always a student. I became a Certified Emotional Intelligence Coach to learn to manage my emotions and understand how my emotional patterns contributed to my results. That became a critical turning point for me. I learned that I should not be afraid to think.
3. What was your inspiration behind Business Affairs for the Minimally Invasive Vascular Centres?
Currently I am President and Director of Business Affairs for the Minimally Invasive Vascular Centres. It started out as a Consulting Project with a friend and colleague that grew into a Partnership and much welcomed addition to my personal business portfolio. I was inspired to be more involved because I saw it as an opportunity to serve humanity and offer relief to the millions of people in the U.S. as well as abroad that suffer from Cardiovascular Disease. Our services can be viewed online at www.MIVCMD.com .
4. What is next for Business Affairs for the Minimally Invasive Vascular Centres?
We are in the process of expanding to a 23,000 square foot, state of the art facility that offers cutting edge treatment for all diseases of the arteries, veins and lymphatic systems. Our goal is to expand nationwide and offer people around the world access to these cutting edge services.
I have a great business portfolio and group of personal clients that I am extremely excited to work with. My plans are to expand the footprint of the Vascular Centers as well as the BioDiesel Plant and to help my clients to expand their personal brands through product endorsements, sponsorships, business expansion and development. My goal is to give hope and awareness to the millions of marginalized people around the world and help them to know that entrepreneurship can be a way out of poverty and a path to wealth and independence. They can introduce goods and services into their community and I want to help become the catalyst for changing the world economy through this concept.
